A visit to Pordenone, the painted city, begins along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the ancient Contrada Maggiore, the heart of the historic center. Here, numerous buildings frescoed between the 14th and 19th centuries stand as a testament to the city's wealth and decorative flair. Facades adorned with geometric motifs, symbolic figures, and narrative scenes create a veritable open-air gallery. Among the most curious examples is the building decorated with the thirteen signs of the zodiac. This extraordinary series of mural paintings accompanies the visitor to the Town Hall, recounting centuries of urban and artistic history.
