On Saturday 8 November, the exhibition “Scatti di.Versi” was inaugurated at the Silvia Zenari Natural History Museum. This photographic exhibition was organised by the L’Obiettivo Photography Club of Pordenone and curated by Michele Di Donato, a photographer of recognised national and international standing. The event was also attended by the Councillor for Culture, Alberto Parigi, and the poet, writer and artistic director of pordenonelegge.it, Gian Mario Villalta.
‘The City Council is always delighted to host initiatives proposed by local organisations and is equally happy to make its venues available for high-quality cultural events such as this one,’ said Councillor Parigi. ‘Exhibitions such as “Scatti di.Versi” enrich our cultural offering and, at the same time, encourage people to visit our city’s cultural venues.’
The exhibition features 23 photographic interpretations of poetic verses, created by 23 members of the club. Each artist has translated their personal vision of nature into images, guided in the process by the curator Michele Di Donato. The result is a visual dialogue that explores two crucial themes of our time: the fragility of nature and the Anthropocene, the era in which human activity has become the dominant force in the transformation of the environment.
The photographs on display go beyond simply illustrating the texts: they capture the ‘breath’ of the verses and transform it into light, shapes and landscapes captured by the lens. Each photograph stands as a fragment of visual poetry, a reflection on our times that ranges from the delicacy of a natural detail to the power of a scarred landscape, prompting visitors to reflect on nature and human responsibility.
The exhibition will be open until 30 November during the museum’s opening hours: Thursdays and Fridays 9.00–13.00, Saturdays and Sundays 13.00–19.00. Free admission.
