“This is an initiative we were very keen to launch and one that we strongly support,” explains Parigi, “as it represents a key component of our summer program. These outings, among other things, serve to honor the memory of Francesco Boni De Nobili, who was one of the most important figures in our city’s tourism industry.”
“To be more specific,” continues Parigi, “these tours allow us to help people discover Pordenone—not only those visiting from out of town but also the residents of Pordenone themselves, who, through these tours, learn about the city’s little-known secrets thanks to the guidance of the tour guides. The numbers are proving us right, and attendance is very high; in fact, we’re practically sold out.”
One of the most interesting parts—if not the most exciting part—“is certainly the visit to the bell tower.”
“The Diocese already organizes these excursions on its own,” says the council member, “and this year we’ll be able to fill in the gaps so as to ensure something that is truly very much appreciated by tourists.”
In Paris, Mayor Alessandro Basso joins in, praising the value of collaboration with tour guides, who bring a particularly professional touch to these outings. “The quality of their work,” Basso emphasizes, “has made it possible to establish the trust and collaboration necessary, for example, to facilitate access to the bell tower. These professionals have the ability to create the empathy needed to understand visitors’ perspectives and satisfy their curiosity.”
