“We warmly welcome Dario Rosolen’s exhibition to our Civic Museum; it forms part of the measures taken by the local council to rediscover local artists and promote their work,” said Mayor Alessandro Basso and Councillor Alberto Parigi on the sidelines of the council meeting at which the decision was taken to support the initiative.

“Among our strategic objectives,” they continue, “is to enhance the city’s exhibition spaces, including museums, by promoting cultural offerings through the use of museum collections as part of a cultural system geared towards the city and the local area. It is precisely with this in mind that we wish to collaborate with local stakeholders; something which, incidentally, has enabled us to stage exhibitions of particular significance that have been very well received, as evidenced by the high number of visitors”.

In this regard, therefore, the proposal by the Giovanni Santin Foundation to organise an exhibition dedicated to the artist Dario Rosolen has been accepted: “Given the importance – Basso and Parigi continue – of ensuring continuity in the exhibition programme of the Civic Art Museum, which complements the permanent collection spanning from the Middle Ages to the nineteenth century and aims to host significant cultural events capable of meeting the public’s demand, whilst also serving as a driving force for tourism and visibility for the city, we will continue to support such proposals in the future. It must be said that there has always been a strong and fruitful collaboration with the Foundation.”

Specifically, the Municipality of Pordenone will make exhibition spaces available at the Civic Art Museum for the duration of the exhibition, including set-up and dismantling, as well as operating costs, cleaning and security during the exhibition’s normal opening hours to the public; the loan of exhibition fittings already held by the museums, including the provision of display boards and LED screens for promotional posters; and, finally, to support the promotion of the exhibition and related events via institutional social media and website channels. On the other hand, the Foundation will bear the total costs of staging the exhibition (concept and direction, curation, organisational secretariat, transport, installation, exhibition and promotional graphics and the printing of related materials, a photographic campaign of the works on display, the production and printing of the catalogue, press office and part of the promotion) and of the associated events; to arrange for the printing and display of promotional posters.

The exhibition is due to open on Saturday 11 October 2025 and will be open to the public, free of charge, from 11 October until 16 November 2025, on the following days and at the following times: Fridays from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm; Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 19.00.
