MILES SMILES: MILES DAVIS E LA FOTOGRAFIA JAZZ

Two art forms that have been passionately intertwined throughout the 20th century, in a relationship that has lasted for 120 years – ever since the legendary trumpeter Buddy Bolden was immortalised in a photograph – and which shows no signs of waning.
A love story that has often brought together the giants in front of the camera with those equally brilliant behind it.

A journey through images, words and music that will introduce us to one of the most iconic figures in the history of jazz, not least because of his fruitful relationship with photography: Miles Davis.
The ‘Prince of Darkness’ will be captured by the flashes of some of the greatest photographers in history, from Lee Friedlander to Irving Penn, from Roy deCarava to Anthony Barboza.
